1926 ~ GISELLA “SALLY” REHBEIN ~ 2017

Gisella “Sally” Gertrude Rehbein (nee Glass) of Fort Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan, passed away on Saturday, October 14th, 2017 at the age of 91 years. Sally leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Connie; her son, Garry; six grandchildren, Jeffrey (Sherri), Bree (Trevor), Kristine (Ian), Jesse, Kody, and Jayde; four great-grandchildren, Brooklynn, Theodore, Aubree, and Charlotte; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Ludwig and Karoline Glass; her husband, Otto; her daughter, Donna; her great-grandson, Quintin; eight brothers; and two sisters. Sally was born and raised on a farm near Fox Valley, Saskatchewan. She lived in Medicine Hat the majority of her life and worked at K-Mart until her retirement. Sally was devoted to her family and loved spoiling them with her cooking. She enjoyed knitting and was an avid card player. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Saturday, October 21st, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Jim Bredeson officiating. Interment will take place at Saamis Prairie View Cemetery with a reception to follow.     so sorry to hear about your loss. Your grandmother Karoline was a sister in law to my grandmother Theresie married to John Brucker. Your mom was so sweet and kind and was liked by all us kids who she was so good to. We were often at her mom’s house eating Auntie Karoline’s fantastic apple strudel as we lived on 10th Street just across 7th Avenue (Kingsway) from her.
    Your mom reminds me of all that was good and real and kind in those times. She is truly remembered as a fine person.
