Mrs. Gladys MacGregor, beloved wife and best friend of Hector MacGregor, announces his passing at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Monday, November 13, 2017, at the age of 91 years. Gladys and Hector were married in St. John’s Presbyterian Church on June 2, 1951, the start of 66 wonderful years together. Along with Gladys, Hector’s memory will be cherished in the hearts of his family: son, Drew R. (Linda) MacGregor; grandsons, Kyle and Brett (Amanda) and their 3 month old daughter, Luna. A Private Interment service will take place in the spring. Family wish to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff with Long Term Care at the Riverview Care Centre for the care provided to Hector over his last 6 years with them. “Bless You All”. I didn’t know Hector but I saw him numerous times when I visited my mom at Riverview Care Centre. He enjoyed petting my dog and she like him. One day she was quite content to just sit with him and Hector told me, with a big smile, now you’ve lost your dog. He always thanked me for stopping and letting him pet her. My deepest condolences to you and your family.
Gladdy, I left Med. Hat many years ago but have not forgotten you and Mac. He was a wonderful man and you had such a dry humor I can see your faces at Mom and Dad’s table up on Crescent Heights. I am so sorry for you and Drew and his family, it’s hard to lose a family member even when that person was sick for a longer period of time. My thoughts are with you. Terrie
