ROSE MARIE WIDMER

1943 ~ 2017

It is with great sadness that the family announce the sudden passing of their mother, Rose Marie Gertrude Widmer, beloved wife of the late Ken Widmer, at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the age of 74 years. She was born in Creston, BC, raised in Millet, AB., and settled in Medicine Hat where she met and married, Lloyd Kenneth Widmer, on October 8, 1994. They were soul mates from the start and shared much of life together. Rose Marie loved reading, crossword puzzles and listening to music. She will be lovingly remembered in the hearts of her children, Rick (Lillian) Blade, Charlene (Terry) Petersen, Christine (Grant) Christianson, Clif Blade, Rosalind Blade (Denny Gilmore), 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and sister, Alice (Quentin) Brehmer. Rose Marie was predeceased by her husband, Ken and her sister Gloria Scribner. The family wish to thank River Ridge for their devotion to Rose Marie during her time with them. A private graveside service will be celebrated on Monday, with Life Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating.
