Posted: December 1st, 2017Mrs. Margaret “Rose” Janzen beloved wife of Mr. Jacob Janzen of Medicine Hat passed away on Sunday, November 26th, 2017 at the age of 75 years. Besides her husband Jacob, Margaret leaves to cherish her memory her son, Cory (Loralee) Janzen; her daughter, Charmaine Janzen; five grandchildren, Tanea (Marshall) Kuystermans, Braiden Janzen, Daniel (Danica) Janzen, Sarah Janzen, and Nathan Janzen; one great grandson, Jacob Kuystermans; two brothers, Harry Wiebe, and Clarence (Justine) Wiebe; one sister, Lydia Ann Bueckert; two sisters-in-law, Ann (Bill) Flear, and Evelyn Markowsky; and three brothers-in-law, Henry Braun, Henry Janzen, and John (Mary Ann) Janzen; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. Rose was predeceased by her parents, Abram and Margaret Wiebe; her sisters-in-law, Clara Wiebe, Olga (Henry) Braun, and Joyce Wiebe; her brothers-in-law, Henry Bueckert, and Orest Markowsky. Rose was born to Abe D. and Margaret Wiebe on April 30th, 1942 at Beaver Flat, Saskatchewan. She married Jacob Janzen at Herbert, Saskatchewan on August 31st, 1968 and took her teaching degree at the University of Saskatchewan. Rose taught school and worked in customer service until her retirement in June of 2017. Favorite pastimes were crocheting, jig saw puzzles, reading, and making Mennonite food. She was an excellent housekeeper and an amazing cook. She was known for her quick wit and sense of humour, generous heart, turning strangers into friends and loving them like family. Rose enjoyed time spent with her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. A Time of Remembrance will be held at HILLCREST EVANGELICAL CHURCH (in the gymnasium) with lunch to follow, 3785 13th Avenue SE, on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jamie McDonald officiating.
