1946 ~ GERALD HILLIS ~ 2017

Gerald Wilbert Hillis, beloved husband of Laura Hillis of Medicine Hat, passed away on Tuesday, November 28th, 2017 at the age of 71 years. Gerald also leaves to cherish his memory four children, Kim (Taras) Stokalko, Shawn (Christie) Hillis, Chrystal (Aaron) Heinz and Greg (Darcy) Hillis; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Stokalko (Dylan Wyatt), Sierra Stokalko (Cole Plaskan), Jace Hillis, Alexis Heinz, Payton Heinz, Teyla Hillis and Ronen Hillis; one great grandson, Carter; three brothers, Lyle (Joyce) Hillis, Dale (Jeanette) Hillis and Dennis (Bernice) Hillis; one sister, Lynn Gourlay; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Gerald was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Maizie Hillis; one brother, Glenn Hillis; and one sister, Anne Schreiner. Gerald was born on October 3rd, 1946 in Nipawin, Saskatchewan. He loved golfing, camping, driving truck, reading and watching western movies. But above all Gerald loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He will be missed by all and his memory cherished. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with Life Celebrant Lynett Getz officiating.
