It is with deep sadness that Leonard and Caroline Van Maarion announce the passing of their beloved son, Brent Nicholas Van Maarion on Sunday, November 19, 2017, at the age of 60 years. Brent was born on on February 22, 1957 in Medicine Hat and had a passion for the outdoors. The happiest times for Brent were spent farming south of Seven Persons. He was an avid sportsman and never gave up his love of hunting. Along with his parents, Brent is survived by his brothers, Rick (Meri) and their children, Jesse (Ashley), Megan (Jared) and Emily (Tim); Ron (Wendy) and their children, Nicole (Kevin) and Casey; Murray (Karen) and their children, Kelsi (Raymond), Travis and Tristan. He also leaves behind many great-nieces and nephews; a large extended family as well as two people who were very special to him, Dalyce and Dustin. A Celebration of Brent’s life will be held at the Seven Persons Community Church on Thursday, December 7, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations in Brent’s name may be made directly to the Medicine Hat Fish and Game Association, PO Box 883 LCD1, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 7G8 or to Pheasants Forever, Crestwood RPO PO Box 24055, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 8M8.
