Milton Darr, beloved husband of Rita Darr of Lyalta, passed away at the Brentwood Care Centre in Calgary on Friday, January 5, 2018 at the age of 85 years. Born on the farm in the Richmond-Burstall, Saskatchewan area. He attended the Progress, Process, and Flat Valley schools, he remained on the farm until he was 21. He then began working for John Deere which was his fulfilling employment for much of his life, making many friends and pleasant memories on his service calls to farmers. He married Rita Reasbeck in1967.
Besides his loving wife Rita, Milton will be missed by his children Laureen Darr, Wilfred Darr (Ziling) and James Darr (Brittany). He will also be lovingly remembered by Sophia, Everett, and Elliston Darr. Milton was predeceased by his beloved son Geoffrey Darr in 1980.
Relatives and Friends are invited to visitation and tributes at Mountain View Funeral Home, (Prairie View Chapel, 1605 – 100 Street SE, Calgary) on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will take place at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. A Memorial Service will follow at Westside King’s Church (3939 – 69 Street SW, Calgary) on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Pioneer Acres Plowmen and Threshermans Club of Alberta, Box 58 Irricana, AB T0M 1B0 info@pioneeracres.ab.ca .
