WILLIAM (BILL) KLASSEN

Born Nov. 9, 1929 in Warman, SK. Passed away Jan. 10, 2018 in Medicine Hat, AB after a brief battle with cancer. Bill is survived by his wife Pearl Irene Klassen (Mundell); daughters Cheryl (Mac) Hart, Holly (Larry) Langeman, and Jennifer (Darren) Crotenko; grandchildren Kelly (Tammie) Hart, Jessica (Andrew) Shaw, and Liam Hart; great grandchildren Lucas Franz and Carlie Franz, and their father Matthew (Kim) Franz. He is also survived by three brothers and one sister and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bill was predeceased by his parents Abram and Maria, and three sisters and one brother.

Throughout his life, Bill’s gentle smile and twinkling eyes touched the hearts of everyone who knew him. He loved every opportunity to be outdoors, and was a keen observer of wildlife. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, he gave all praise to the Creator. Bill and Irene married in 1954 and raised their family in Saskatoon. A loving husband and father, and a faithful elder, Bill worked tirelessly to encourage and upbuild his family and the congregation. He looked forward to the time when God’s Kingdom will take away death forever. We will miss him every day until then.

Bill’s family wishes to thank the staff at Carmel Hospice for their kindness and excellent care.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 62 Valleyview Drive SW, Medicine Hat.

    Our condolences to the family. The times we visited my parents the Sayers ,Bill always had a warm smile at the KH. Clayton always looked forward to the fishing trips they did. I’m sure they will continue when Jehovah brings Bill back. Christian love, Dave and Sandra Waterer .Calgary Ab.
