On Nov. 12th, 1951, she married Alexander Steier at St. John’s Church, Johnsborough, Sk. They lived on the Steier family farm located 4 miles east of Liebenthal. When Alex passed away Betty remained in Leader until her passing. Betty’s passion was her family, preparing some of their favourite foods when they visited. She loved gardening, crocheting, knitting, word search puzzles and entertaining. She was a valued volunteer at the Western Senior Citizen Home with her good friend, Eileen. Betty was a member of the CWL and the Ladies Auxiliary at the WSCH. Betty enjoyed her TV and loved her news, sports, (especially the Riders), church and the weather. There was music, laughter and pizza. The family has been overwhelmed by the many expressions they received regarding Betty’s kindness, her beautiful smile and her generosity to give everybody a hug. 1. Ron & Louise King says:

Betty was a good lady,,, she will be missed

  2. Lucelle Prindle says:

To Betty’s children, your mom was so funny and generous to all. She was quick with a hug and a big smile. She also was very proud of her family and didn’t hesitate to launch into a story about the latest achievement of some family member. She was one of our older cousins but kept in touch with mom and dad when both lived in Medicine Hat. We will always remember the twinkle in her eye and the broad smile on her face. Lucelle (Eliza and Peter Herle’s daughter).

Leave a Condolence for Ron & Louise King
