Christa Richardson of Calgary, passed away surrounded by family, on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the age of 39 years after a courageous battle with oesophageal cancer.

Born July 17, 1978 in Calgary, Christa came into the world a very premature little fighter and carried that quality throughout her life. She had a love of life with her quirky humor, optimism and fun loving ways. Always surrounded by friends and family, she added light and joy wherever she went. She will be greatly missed by all who had the fortune of knowing her.

Christa is survived by her mother Eugenia (Jean) Richardson; brother Trevor (Lynnae); sister Laura; her nieces and nephew, Arianna and Julia Korbett, Jenna and Eric Richardson; and Molly, her dog.

Christa was predeceased by her father, Allan Richardson.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please contact the family regarding donations into the upcoming Christa Richardson Foundation, for the research, awareness and patient support of oesophageal cancer.
