He was on the Community Pasture Committee for 10 years, the Val Marie School Board and the Credit Union Board. George was involved in minor and senior hockey, managing the Senior Mustangs for many years. George felt his greatest accomplishment was his family. He loved to spend time with us, playing games, camping, and visiting, he was always there to support us, whatever we did – and he usually imparted an important life lesson to us along the way. He never missed an opportunity to watch his children and grandchildren in school or sporting activities. He loved each and every one of us unconditionally. George enjoyed people – meeting them, talking with them, finding out about them and accepting all as they came. His value as a man is what he taught us and how he showed us to be caring people.
