It is with great sadness the family of Steve Sadownik Jr. announce his passing. Steve died while training for a race on Saturday, June 16 in Jasper, AB. Steve is survived by his children Steven and Victoria, his parents Joan and Steve, and two sisters Stephanie and Suzzanne. He was predeceased by his wife Nicole, two sisters Tracy and Stacy, father in law Jack Sime, and a nephew Vincent. Funeral services will be held in Fort St. John, B.C. on Saturday, June 23 at 2:00. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hamres Funeral Home, St. John B.C. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to B.C. Children’s Hospital in Steve’s name.

Steve was my cousin but more than that, he was someone I looked up to when I was growing up. To me, he was an amazing athlete and I always thought if I could keep up to him, I would make it to the NHL. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of Steve and the fun I had visiting him and the Sadownik family when I was growing up. He is and will be in my thoughts forever. I still talk about our good times with my own child. You were and always will be a winner to me. Rest In Peace
