With heavy hearts the family announces the passing of our beloved Marina Lantican-Dreger. She went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 20, 2018, at St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice in Medicine Hat at the age of 59 years. She will be remembered by her two daughters, Christine and Sarah; brothers, Ronny (Lina), Roly (Mindy) and Emry; sisters, Anita, Aida, Nita; her devoted friend, Will and her pet puppy, Dahlia. Marina will always be cherished by her niece, Michelle; nephews, Keith, John, Julius and Lee and great-niece, Andaya. She was predeceased by her parents, Melencio and Guillerma Lantican and a brother, Rody. Marina was a very devoted mother to her two daughters and there was never a “no” answer to their needs. Being born in the Philippines, Marina studied hard, took acting and art classes and proved her accomplishments with receiving diplomas and certificates. She worked hard and saved her earned money in investments in which she was so proud of. She also helped her nephews, Santi and his family along with Robert and his family, come to Canada. Marina enjoyed doing business, shopping, playing at the casino and bingo. Her three sisters devoted most of their time to taking care of her while her brother, Enry was the driver. Marina was always the life of the party and will be missed! A Celebration of Marina’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Father Albert Sayson officiating. Interment will follow at the Redcliff Cemetery. Memorial donations in Marina’s name may be made directly to St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice, 156 – 3rd Street N.E., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 5M1.
