1954 ~ 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Keith Hope announce his passing after a hard fought battle with Pancreatic Cancer on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at the age of 63. Keith will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Dona of 38 years; his children, Ashley (Jim), Donald; his daughter-in-law, Starr. Keith will also be forever remembered by his grandchildren, Karsun, Konrad, Julianna, Jaxon and Jaydon; his mother, Dorothy; his sister, Jackie (Rick); brother, Kyle (Debbie), as well as extended family and a wealth of friends. Keith was predeceased by his dad, Jack and father-in-law, Walter Springer. Keith was born and raised in Redcliff, living within the area for the entirety of his life. Keith had a passion for the outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, ATV’ing and camping especially in the Rocky Mountain House area. Most mornings people could find Keith at Truckkers enjoying coffee with his long time friends, telling a tale or a joke. Keith’s pride and joy was his family. He’d relish the time with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories of tricks and treats. Keith was a long time brand inspector for Medicine Hat and area, working for the Livestock Investigation Services for the majority of his employment. Keith was respected not only by his co-workers but the area’s ranching community through his consistent care of professionalism and obvious pride and work ethic. Keith will always be remembered for his smiles and laughter! A Celebration of Keith’s life will be held at the Cypress Centre Auditorium, 2055 – 21 Avenue S.E., Medicine Hat on Saturday, September 1, 2018, between 12 noon and 4:00 p.m. Friends and family are encouraged to make use of the podium to regale the group of their own favorite memories, stories and jokes from Keith.
