1920 ~ ALICE MIDDLETON ~ 2018

Posted: October 11th, 2018

Agnes Alice Middleton of Medicine Hat, passed away on Saturday, October 6th, 2018 at the age of 98 years. She is survived by her loving sister, Marjorie Middleton of Medicine Hat and a number of cousins of 2nd and 3rd generation, all of whom she considered family. She took great pleasure in family genealogy and enjoyed adding each baby to the family tree as they were born. Alice was predeceased by her mother, Isabella Middleton, in 1921; her younger brother, Charles, in 1927; and by her father, Edward Middleton, in 1972. Alice worked for nearly 45 years in the office of the Medical Arts Clinic before retiring. She enjoyed both vegetable and flower gardening and had a lovely collection of African Violets. Everything that Alice did was done with great attention to detail. She will always be remembered as a quiet, caring, and tender person. For the past nine years, Alice lived in Valleyview Age Care where she received excellent care and was well liked by the staff. Grateful thanks to Age Care, Tannis and Al Garden of Medicine Hat, Margot and Terry Mack of Regina, and special thanks to Debra and Steve Phaff of Irvine. The Funeral Service will be held at HILLSIDE CEMETERY, Gershaw Drive SW & 10th Avenue SW, on Saturday, October 13th, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Bob Cruickshank officiating. No flowers by request. 2 Condolences for “1920 ~ ALICE MIDDLETON ~ 2018”

  1. Tina Lastuka says:

I am so very sorry to hear about Alice’s passing. My fondest memory of Alice is when she sat with my when I was getting my very painful scratch tests for allergies. I would have been 5 or 6 and whiny. She kept me entertained. She will be missed. HUGS Alice.

  2. Terrie Brucker (Lind) says:

I am so sorry to hear about your sister, Marge. I worked with you at the public health clinic in Med. Hat in the ’70’s and was a neighbour for two years on third street. You gave me a lovely English tea that I’ve never forgotten.
    Take care, much affection Terrie
