It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helen (Wingenbach) Ebelher of Medicine Hat, AB on Saturday, October 13th, 2018. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Jack; her son, Anton and her daughter, Gladys; sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and her daughter-in-law, Joan. She is survived by her two children, Don (Rose) Ebelher and Jim Ebelher; six grandchildren, Brad (Shauna) Ebelher, Nadine (Dwayne) Kawchuck, Christine (Kevin) Kopp, Suzanne (Bryan Dunn) Ebelher, Patrick (Leah) Ebelher, Roxane (Terry) Schulte; and 12 great grandchildren.

Helen was born on August 8th, 1920. In 1941, she married Jack Ebelher and they farmed for many years in Liebenthal, SK until retiring to Medicine Hat. She will always be remembered for her amazing baking, passion for gardening and luck at cards. Special thanks to the Masterpiece staff for their wonderful care of Helen.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, on Thursday, October 18th, 2018 from 6:00 until 6:55 p.m and at HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 1451 Strachan Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB, on Friday, October 19th, 2018 from 9:30 until 10:25 a.m. Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL on Thursday, October 18th, 2018, at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at HOLY FAMILY PARISH on Friday, October 19th, 2018, 10:30 a.m. with Father Vijaya Bathineni, Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Section at Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
