Marilyn Elaine Burton of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, November 7th, 2018 at the age of 62 years. Marilyn leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Donelda Burton; her daughter, Tanisha (Aaron) Petrick; her three grandchildren, Trey Davis-Nieman, Tyrece Davis-Mayer,and Ryder Petrick; three brothers, Dwayne (Donna Marti) Burton, Terry Burton, and Doug Burton; and many nieces and nephews. Marilyn was predeceased by her father Lloyd Burton and her daughter Tammy Davis. Marilyn was born July 24, 1956 and raised in Medicine Hat. Marilyn attended school in Medicine Hat and then worked at George P. Vanier School as a teachers’ aid. She also worked as a private caregiver for families with special needs children. In the last few years she spent countless hours caring for her mother at Masterpiece in Southlands where you would often find her and her dog Tianya. She enjoyed camping and waterskiing. She also enjoyed doing crafts at home adding sparkle and glitter to almost everything she could decorate. She had a love for her grandchildren and her animals Tianya and Motley. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL 1 DUNMORE ROAD SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 1Z5, on Tuesday, November 13th, 2018 at 1:30 pm with Gary W. Goran officiating.
