It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Harry Bruno Ziel, wonderful, loving, husband, of Rita Ziel. Harry went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Sunday November 11, 2018 at the age of 64 years. Harry was born in Medicine Hat and was raised in Redcliff. After graduating from Medicine Hat High School he attended the University of Calgary and obtained a Business Degree majoring in accounting. He started his accounting career in Medicine Hat. He later moved to Calgary to be with the love of his life, and continued his career there with several firms until he started his own accounting business in High River and later on in Calgary.

Harry will be sadly missed by his wife of thirty years, Rita, and his two daughters, Andrea and Vanessa all of Calgary. Also left to mourn his passing are his brother, Gary (Penny) Ziel of Medicine Hat, his sister, Monika (Grant) Farmer of Medicine Hat, his sisters-in-law, June (Lawrence) Streifel of Medicine Hat, Ruth (Stan) Benedek of Calgary and brother-in-law Ed (Debra) Kopp of Seven Persons. He is also survived by Rita’s parents, John and Wilma Kopp of Medicine Hat as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Adolf and Melida Ziel and a sister-in-law Cindy Kopp.

Prayers and Tributes will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church 1414 Shawnessy Boulevard SW Calgary.

An Ecumenical Funeral Service will be held on Friday November 16 at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Lutheran Church (380 Midpark Boulevard S.E., Calgary, AB), with Pastor Wallace Bornhuse and Reverend Andrew Maruszczak SDS officiating.
