1932 ~ LILLIAN STOCK ~ 2018

Lillian “Lilly” Stock of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late David Stock, passed away at Sunnyview Care Centre on Wednesday, December 12th, 2018 at the age of 86 years. Lilly leaves to cherish her memory her 3 children, Gloria (Lorne) Krauss of Elkwater, Lynn (Jayne) Stock of Okotoks and Neil (Cindy) Stock of Medicine Hat. Also remembering their “Gramma Lil” are 8 grandchildren, Lorna (Joel) Henschke, Monty (Andrea) Krauss, Kirk (Noella) Krauss, Penny (Lee) Pahl, Brad (Pam) Stock, Lacy Stock, Landon (Chenise) Stock and Jared (Sarah) Stock. Lilly also enjoyed her 11 great-grandchildren, Bailey and Jacob Henschke, Kade, Carter, Parker and Jessa Krauss, Rhett and Ryder Krauss and Wyatt, Dawson and Jaxon Pahl. Lilly is survived by her brother, Wallace (Alma) Wutzke; sisters, Jean (Sam) Maier and Shirley Vossler (Glen); sisters-in-law, Ruby Wutzke, Estella Herman and Ella Noble; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lilly was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, David in 2009; her parents, Theodore and Matilda Wutzke; and her brothers, Dave and Archie (Emma). Lilly married the love of her life David on December 18th, 1948. Lilly and David began their married life farming in the Thelma area where they were blessed with their 3 children. They moved to the Medicine Hat area in 1964, continuing to farm until their retirement to the city in the 1970’s. Lilly did many a farm duties and upon moving to town, Lilly was the best seamstress in town from mending to making drapes, she was a car-hop at the A and W, a bus driver and babysitter, and even tried her hand at real estate. Many weekends were spent with Dave camping at Beaver Creek. Lilly was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Saturday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. The Graveside Service will be held at SAAMIS PRAIRIE VIEW CEMETERY, 5160 Gershaw Drive SW, on Monday, December 17th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. David J. Carter officiating. Following the graveside service there will be a luncheon held at the SAAMIS CREEKSIDE CENTRE, 11 Dunmore Road SE.
