Mrs. Helen Wegner (nee Maser) of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Vernon “Leroy” Wegner, passed away on Monday, December 24th, 2018 at the age of 93 years. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Leroy Wegner; son-in-law, Gerry Becker; brother, Ed Maser; and sisters, Ella Estlinger, Tilly Stack, Irene Rierstad and Clara Stromsmoe. Helen leaves to cherish her memory one son, Russel Wegner; granddaughter, Jody Oland; great-grandchildren, Meika and Mia and their father, Aaron Oland; grandson, Stacey (Jen) Wegner; daughter, Carol Becker; grandson, Marty (Heidi) Becker; great-grandchildren, Tuftin and Bentley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Helen lived on the home ranch in Manyberries for 64 years with her husband Leroy. She loved all of mother nature’s creations; from the Sweetgrass Hills to the prairie sunrise and sunsets. Mom loved to garden and have flowers. In March of 2011, they moved to the Wellington in Medicine Hat where she resided until her passing. She loved to dance, play pool and spend time with her friends and family. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
