Mr. Edgar “Sandy” Alexander Welling, soulmate of Linda Hope of Medicine Hat, passed away on Monday, December 31st, 2018 at the age of 70 years. Sandy leaves to cherish his memory his son, Corey (Corrie) Welling; one brother, Ray (Ruby) Welling; and one sister, Norma (Brian) Schlinker. Sandy was predeceased by his son, Ryan Welling; and his parents, Ned and Christina Welling. Sandy worked as an electrician and was a “Jack of All Trades” as he could operate any tool and could fix almost anything. Sandy also loved working on old cars and was a member of the Cypress Rod and Custom Car Club. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, on Saturday, January 5th, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Gary W. Goran officiating. Linda,Corey,Ray, Norma and family. Sandy worked for Knowles Electric for a number of years. It was while working for Jack that he suffered a very bad fall from a ladder. Sandy came to visit Jack at our home and told us about his diagnosis.He was his usual upbeat self. I feel both Sandy and Jack dealt with the lot life had dealt them without complaint . They just carried on and lived each day to the best of their ability. We can only hope to be so brave. I know he will be greatly missed.
