It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother and Great-grandmother who passed away in Calgary in the early morning on Friday, February 8, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

Denise is survived by her four children, Maurice (Melanie), Michelle, René (Karen), and Réanne. She is also survived by her loving siblings Paul (Linda) Lauzé, and Rollande (Tom) Lauzé-Duffy; eight adoring grandchildren: Geoffrey and Mason Heller, Claire (Dominic) Leupold, Marie (Troy) Allchurch, Phil DeGagné (Clay), Jeanne (Landon) Franson, Danna and Emma DeGagné; and six adoring great- grandchildren: Evander and Jocelyn Leupold; Ava, Jayna and Reid Allchurch, and Harper Franson. She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene DeGagné, and her eldest daughter, Mona Heller (nee DeGagné).

Cremation has taken place and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (10827 – 24th Street S.W., Calgary, AB) on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. To view the full obituary or express your condolences, please visit The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of the Southwood Care Centre for their loving care.

    We were all neighbors. Denise was a very capable wife and Mother. Not only was she so Sweet and charitable but she used to send Homemade Bread to our Mother and Dad and five of us kids. Miss her beautiful French expressions and her BIg Love of Family!!
