It is with extremely saddened hearts that we the family announce the passing of Laurelle Anne Thome (nee Goddu), beloved wife of Kim, at her home on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at the age of 55 years. Laurie had an unconditional love for her family and her animals. She was loyal and dedicated to the companies she worked for in the oil and gas industry. Laurie loved her garden and shared the bounty with everyone around. She will be deeply missed and always loved by those who knew her. Along with her loving husband, Kim, Laurie is survived by her mother, Lorna; sister, Teresa (Jim); brothers, Mike, Connie (Tara), Greg (Shawn) and Jeff; mother-in-law, Lynn; sisters-in-law, Debbie (Gene), Pam (Bill), Kelly (Debbie) and Kevin (Twila); numerous nieces and nephews along with their families and her puppies, Levi, Homer and Oreo. Laurie was predeceased by her father, Lucien; sister, Cindy; father-in-law, Mike and brother-in-law, Wayne. A Celebration of Laurie’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. with Major Murray Jaster officiating. If friends so desire, memorial donations in Laurie’s name may be made directly to the SPCA, 55 Southwest Drive S.W., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 8E8 or to the Diabetes Education Centre c/o Medicine Hat & District Health Foundation, 666 – 5 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 4H6.     Oh, Lorna. I am so very deeply saddened to hear of the loss of your daughter. I was off work this weekend and the girls at work told me the terrible news as soon as I got to work this Tuesday morning.
