1958 ~ 2019

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, Teresa Gail ‘Terri’ Watters (nee Larkins). Terri passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice in Medicine Hat on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at the age of 60 years. She is survived by her loving husband, Reg; children, Kyle (Cassy), Kevin (Salena Fieldberg); granddaughters, Kyptin and Kinzley as well as her brother, Jeff (Lisa) Larkins and their sons, Connor, Liam and Ethan. Terri was predeceased by her parents, Don and Jackie Larkins. Terri was born in Vulcan, Alberta and grew up in Calgary, graduating from Dr. E.P. Scarlett High School. She met Reg while working at Allwest Supermarket in 1973 and they married in 1979. She became a bookkeeper for a number of small businesses until they moved to Medicine Hat in 1994 to operate and manage one (then two) Petro Canada gas stations. Terri loved weekend visits to Calgary to play cards with Case and Karla and trips to Mexico (or any place with a beach) with special friends, Trish and Blaine. She always had a book to read (she loved her novels), putzing in the garden, taking her granddaughters shopping and making sure her boys ‘towed the line’. Terri will be remembered for her quick wit, unselfishness and unconditional love for her family and friends. She cherished every moment with her children and grandchildren. The family would like to especially thank Tanya at the Cancer Clinic; Rhonda with Palliative Care as well as the St. Joseph’s staff for their special professional care and consideration given to Terri during her time of need. In following with Terri’s request, no formal service will be held and family will privately remember her life. Memorial donations in Terri’s name may be made directly to St. Joseph’s Home Carmel Hospice, 156 – 3rd Street N.E., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 5M1 or the Medicine Hat Brown Bag Lunch Program, 532 South Railway Street S.E., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 2V6.
