Gordon Donald Warkentine, of Seven Persons, Alberta, passed away on Monday, September 23rd, 2019 at the age of 59 years. Gordon leaves to cherish his memory four daughters, Janine (Dylan) Stuber, Holly-Lynn (Dale) Hunter, Angelina Warkentine (Derek Faichuk) and Rochelle (Cory) Poss; twelve grandchildren, Jordyn, Braden, Aubrey and Emmett Stuber, Erika, Adalynn and Presley Hunter, Bane and Makhi Faichuk, Kylie, Taylor and Owen Poss; four brothers, Larry Hiebert, Lorne (Faith) Warkentine, David Hiebert and Darjo (Amanda) Hiebert; step father, Henry Hiebert; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Gordon was predeceased by his beloved wife of 39 years, Bonnie Warkentine; grandson, Bennett Faichuk; mother, Helen Hiebert; father, Isaac Warkentine; sister, Darcy Hiebert; and sister in-law, Rose Hiebert. Gordon was born on September 23, 1960 in Kaslo, British Columbia. He was devoted to his wife, Bonnie, who he loved greatly and displayed incredible strength supporting her through a lengthy battle with cancer. Gordon was known for his love of music and enjoyed time spent with family and friends gathering around the campfire playing his guitar. Gordon took great pride in caring for his yard on their acreage and loved taking his grandkids for tractor and quad rides. A celebration of life to honour the memories of Gordon and Bonnie will take place on Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Seven Persons Community Hall.
