1949 ~ DON GRASLEY ~ 2019

Donald “Don” George Grasley, beloved husband of Kathy Grasley of Medicine Hat, passed away on Monday, September 30th, 2019 at the age of 70 years. Don also leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Mark (Ruth) Grasley and their children, Emma, Sophia and Rachel and Mike (Darla) Grasley and their children, Janessa, Jazlyn and Jeren; his siblings, Lorne Grasley and Arlene (Bob) Utsurogi; uncle, Don (Irene) Grasley; mother-in-law, Betty Wood; brothers-in-law, Rich (Sheila) Wood and Paul (Coreena) Wood; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Don was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Ruth Grasley; and his father-in-law, Harvey Wood. Don was born on July 14th, 1949 in Regina, Saskatchewan. He graduated from University of Saskatchewan in 1974 with a BA in Civil Engineering. He married Kathy Wood on December 27th, 1975. Don was an incredibly generous and curious person. He enjoyed working on projects of all types from automotive repairs, building houses, renovations and anything else he found that might be a challenge. Don loved to play music and was a talented banjo player as well guitarist. He also played the violin and various other instruments that he decided to attempt over the years. He has played in several groups that played for church and other fun events whenever possible. The Funeral Service will be held at HILLCREST EVANGELICAL MISSIONARY CHURCH, 3785 – 13th Avenue SE, on Thursday, October 10th, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Pahl officiating. A private interment will take place at a later date in Regina, Saskatchewan. Memorial gifts in Don’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
