Gregory Jay Anderson, beloved son of Phyllis and (the late) Jay Anderson, passed away in Medicine Hat on November 5th, 2019 at the age of 66 years. Greg is a dear brother to Kirk Anderson of Toronto, Mark (Margaret) Anderson of Calgary, and Clay Anderson of Edmonton. Greg also leaves to cherish his memory his niece Hannah Anderson, and his nieces and nephew Tara (Jeff) Bartlett, Beth (Sheridan) Green, Lindsay (Taylor) King, Jay (Brittany) Anderson and their children. Greg was predeceased by his father Jay and his sister-in-law Jan. Greg was born to Jay and Phyllis (née Hansen) Anderson in Lethbridge on July 18th, 1953, the first of four sons, and grew up in a very close and loving family. Greg’s educational achievements include graduating as a gold medalist with a BA in Economics. Greg’s career began as a reserve officer and founding member of Air Command in Winnipeg. He then moved on to the Credit Union System in Manitoba where he had a long and highly successful career, serving in multiple executive and advisory roles. Commencing in 2013, Greg gradually moved into retirement, allowing him to spend more time with his family and in church service. Greg’s passions included spending time with family, golf, reading, technology and driving. He will always be remembered for his ever-present smile, equanimity and dedication to family. Friends can greet the family and express condolences in the Relief Society Room of THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, 7 Sierra Boulevard SW, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. on Tuesday, November 12th. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel (above location) on Tuesday, November 12th with Bishop Darren Petersen conducting. A family interment will take place at the MOUNTAIN VIEW CEMETERY, 12th Street & Scenic Drive South, in Lethbridge at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12th.
