1941 ~ 2020

It is with sadness that the family of Marilyn Doreen Hoffman, beloved wife of the late Stanley Hoffman, announce her passing on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at the age of 78 years. Marilyn leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Pamela (Thomas) Burke and their children, Braden and Mason; son, Dean (Marianne) Hoffman as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Emma Schneider as well as three sisters. Marilyn was born in Medicine Hat on April 4, 1941, and raised on the family Ranch near Maple Creek, SK. She worked very hard growing up on the Ranch. Marilyn received most of her schooling in Maple Creek before finishing her High School years in Medicine Hat. This is where she met and fell in love with her High School sweetheart, Stanley. They were married on October 24, 1964. Marilyn worked as a Registered Nurse for years in numerous capacities. All the while, she revelled in each opportunity that presented itself to travel with Stanley. Together they travelled to numerous destinations including Las Vegas and Hawaii, but their most memorable trip was venturing to Alaska. Following her nursing career, Marilyn’s entrepreneurial spirit opened new doors in her life which would see her working side by side with Stanley on their farm while starting a property management business. She was very hardworking and blessed with a creative mind and talented hands that allowed her to excel at numerous arts and crafts. Marilyn was very proud of Pamela, Dean, their families and all of their achievements. She will be dearly missed. Marilyn’s life will be honoured and her memory cherished without the proceedings of a formal service.
