It is with deepest sadness that the family announces the passing of Elaine Evelyn Rarick-Haaf on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, in Medicine Hat at the age of 81 years. Elaine leaves to cherish her husband, Ken Haaf; daughter, Marena Rarick (Bruce Sandford) and her children, Aime (Rob) Snazel and their children, Jackson and Gemmma, Philip (Melissa) Tschritter and their children, Isabella and Greyson; daughter, Leanna Koch and special son-in-law, Randy Koch and their children, Emily Koch, Samuel Koch (Hailey Lange) and Abigail Koch; son, Cory (Tammy) Rarick and their son, Owen Rarick. She also leaves her special daughter, Cindy Robinson (Tom Kneebone) and her children, Lailah, Miles and Ophelia and John (Josie) Beck all of Australia. Cherishing her memory as well is her sister, Florence (Richard) Berenger; brothers, Lloyd (Pat) Cowie and Wayne (Grace) Cowie; Ken’s brothers, Nick Haaf, Garry (Chris) Haaf and sister-in-law, Elain Haaf as well as many special nieces, nephews and friends all of whom she loved dearly. Elaine was predeceased by her parents, Allen & Evelyn Cowie; first husband, Clarence Rarick; sisters, Margaret (Joe) Bernhardt, Thelma (Fred) Lorentzon; brothers, Dale Cowie and Roy Cowie; Ken’s parents, Don and Pauline Haaf; siblings, Sue (Dennis) Poffenroth, Edna (Art) Wandler and Jerry Haaf. Mom’s world was her family and friends. Birthdays, anniversaries and any other opportunity for a get-together were welcomed and celebrated with love, laughter and lots of food! Elaine was a hard worker and was a lady that loved to laugh. Her work ethic, strength, grace, love, kindness and most of all her faith in the Lord are her legacy.
