Leonard Thomas Heisler, beloved husband of Mavis, passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Sunday, August 30, 2020, at the age of 85 years. Along with Mavis, left to cherish Leonard’s memory is his son, Darcy (Dahlia) Heisler and his grandchildren, Braden and Evan Heisler and Kevin’s children, Brad and Carmen Barnes. He was predeceased by his son, Kevin and his parents, Frank and Cecilia Heisler. A Celebration of Leonard’s Life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday, September 4, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. Due to current restrictions in place from the Chief Medical Officer of Health regarding COVID – 19, the funeral service will be limited to no more than 100 attendees including family and funeral home staff. Leonard’s celebration will be live streamed through the Cook Southland website.
