It is with great love and sad hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Mary Ulbricht, at the age of 65 years. She faced each day of her two-year battle with cancer with courage and strength. Mary Leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 44 years, Wayne Ulbricht; her three sons, Travis (Kyla) Ulbricht, Cody (Gabbie) Ulbricht and Colin (Shelby) Ulbricht; seven beautiful grandchildren, Brylin, Ries, Olivia, Leon, Warren, Mackenzie and Roland; her father, Roy Ries; two brothers, Ron (Jean) Ries and Mike (Darlene) Ries. Mary will also be remembered by her sisters-in-law, Eileen Witts (Reid), Brenda Siegers, and Sheila (Ron) Papove, Rita (Ken) Ireland, Lana (Richard) Miller; and her brother-in-law, Vic (Lori) Ulbricht. Mary was predeceased by her mother, Katie Ries; parents-in-law, Jake and Lydia Ulbricht; and brothers-in-law, Bert Siegers and John Witts. She will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful friends. Mary and Wayne were best friends and together they raised a family, loved to travel and enjoyed all of life’s simple blessings. Mary loved her family more than anything and devoted her years to her boys, taking them to hockey and baseball and was always their biggest cheerleader, she loved the many jobs she held over the years. Whether it was doing taxes, working an election or at the diagnostic lab, she made friends with everyone and did her work with joy. Mary loved working in her beautiful garden, golfing, cooking, baking and having coffee with friends. She very much enjoyed her years of dragon boating and the special relationships she built with her teammates. Mary’s door was always open, and she would make anyone feel welcome at her table. Her smile and laughter could light up any room. Mary’s great joy in life were her grandchildren and she was very proud of her role as Nana. Mary lived a life in which she chose to be happy everyday, and she made you feel loved every time you saw her. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
