Viola leaves to cherish her memory: two children, Garry (Debra) Beres of Calgary and Sheila (Ken) Reimer of Medicine Hat; four grandchildren, Stephen (Liza) Beres (and their daughter, Cooper Beres), Jonathan (Amelia) Beres, Jordan (Marci) Reimer and Gillian Reimer (Douglas Minshull); sister, Diane (Frank) Schneider; brother, Vernon (Lena) Heringer; sisters-in-law, Margaret Heringer and Doris Heringer as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Viola was predeceased by her    loving husband of 47 years, Louis Beres who passed away December 15, 1994;  parents, William and Lydia Heringer; five brothers, Art Heringer, Calvin Heringer, Ivan Heringer, Roy Heringer and Earl Heringer; three sisters, Francis Schneider, Violet Anderson and Vera Croissant; brothers-in-law, Alan Schneider, Chuck Anderson, Henry Croissant and Bill Beres and sisters-in-law, Meloni Heringer, Agnes Heringer and Elsie Beres. Viola was born on May 16, 1929, on the family farm in the Hilda District. She moved to Medicine Hat with her family where she attended school. Viola worked at Medalta Potteries, IGA bakery in the Southview Mall as well as a clerk in the IGA on Crescent Heights. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards but most of all, music and dancing. She was truly her happiest when the music played and she could dance. ‘Mom, we know you are dancing with Dad now, and when we get the choice to sit it out or dance, we will dance in your       honour.’ Viola’s family would like to thank the staff at Park Place Meadow Ridge Seniors Village for their exceptional care they provided to their mother. Due to Covid gathering restrictions, the Celebration of Viola’s life will be private. The  funeral service will be live-streamed on Thursday, December 31, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. (MST).
