1929 ~ MARY WHITE ~ 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary White on January 6, 2021 at the age of 91 years. She leaves to cherish her memory brothers, William (Helen) Love, James (Jean) Love, Alex (Nathalie) Love all of Scotland; sisters, Ina Cripps of Vancouver, Margaret King of Seattle, Helen and Sheena (Jack); niece, “Dolly” Victoria Felesky of Medicine Hat; great niece, Penny Porcina Felesky of Medicine Hat; great great nephews, Blaine Becker and Jason Becker; great-great-niece, Janaine Porcina; special cousins, John Love, James Love and Annie Love; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends in Britain. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Cyril in 1994 and parents, John and Helen Love. Mary was born, raised and educated in Scotland. In 1956 she immigrated to Canada and settled in Vancouver. There she worked as a nanny and then the Hudson Bay Company from the early 1960’s till the 1970’s. She married Cyril White on November 16, 1967 in Vancouver. In the mid 1970’s they then moved to Cranbrook until the late 1980’s, later making their home in Medicine Hat. Mary was a member of the Southview Church of God. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. There will a public viewing on Sunday, January 10, 2021 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel #1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat AB. The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions the service will be by invitation only. Friends are invited to view the service by live streaming at www.saamis.com. Streaming will begin at 10:55 a.m. on the day of service.
