ROBINS, Donald Franklin

Posted: January 15th, 2021

Don’s family’s heart is broken to announce his sudden passing at his home in La Paz, on January 11. Don was living his dream in Mexico with his loving partner Patricia Chavez. Don’s life was a continuous adventure as he pursued his passion for family, business ventures, and Baja racing. Don was born in Alberta’s coal branch on March 02, 1954 and grew up in Evansburg, Hilda, and Medicine Hat. His adventurous spirit led him to Mexico in 1987. Don will be forever missed by his two boys Shawn (Candace), their children Cade and Merrick and Jesse (Amanda), their children Addyson and Sylis and by their mother Laura Pleskie. He also leaves to cherish his partner Patricia Chavez, her children Mirsha, Josefat, Yeyre, and David and their families. He will also be lovingly remembered by his three brothers; Doug (Kris), Jim (Wanda) Jim’s sons, Jake (Amy) and Benjamin Robins; Wanda’s sons Jared (Taylor) and Brandon Hopper; Tom (Sandra) and children Desirae and John. Don was predeceased by his loving parents Doug and Marion Robins. A family service to honour Don’s life and his contributions to ours will be held in Mountain Park at a later date.
