Robert was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Ellen as well as his siblings, Brian, Kay, Mary, Don, Norman and Billy. Through the years, Robert had several places of employment including the Calgary University maintenance department, the Calgary Stampede, Hostess Potato Chips as well as owning his own moving company. He was a practical joker with his children and grandchildren and loved joking about the weather and traveling. Robert enjoyed fishing on the weekends, camping, watching horse racing, dogs and playing golf. Some of his most memorable occasions included summer vacations with family, spending Christmas together as well as having poutine after a round of golf. Cheering for the Toronto Blue Jays as well as watching a Calgary Flames game on TV were also ways Robert liked to spend his time.
