September 22, 1943 – February 27, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce that on Feb. 27, 2021 Glen Douglas Thorburn passed away peacefully at Centennial Centre in Ponoka. His loving wife, Dorothy was waiting for him with open arms. He also joins his parents Evelyn and Jim as well as his four brothers, Art, Colin, Lyle, and Mack. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his daughters, Shauna (Bill) McKenney, Jeannine (Tho) Nguyen, Roxanne (Glen) Brown, his 10 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren.Glen was born Sept. 22, 1943 in Killam. On April 10, 1965 he married Dorothy Jean. Glen had a no nonsense attitude, and was always good for a laugh. He was always a rock solid man until Dec. 21, 2019 when he suddenly lost his wife of 54 years. His loneliness and heartbreak was made worse by the pandemic. His health and quality of life began to deteriorate rapidly and his only wish was to be with Dorothy again. May you now rest in peace together. Loving you forever dad.
