Ruth, age 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 20th, 2021. She was predeceased by her husband, Joshua Frank Ford; son, Neil Ross Ford; her parents, Robert and Lindina Becker; sister, Jean (Norman) Derheim; brothers, Ray (Alma), Lloyd (Ann), Earl (Alice) and Harvey (Alice) Becker. She is survived by her sister, Adeline (Charles) Mogck.

Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her children, Sharon (Wayne) Ritco, Allan (Darlene) Ford, Shelley (Pat) Patience. Most proud of their grandmother, her seven grandchildren, Tanya (Ian) Johnstone, Melissa (Mike) Djakovic, Devon (Emily) Ford, Jared (Shaye) Ford, Joel (Sierra) Ford, Chad (Devon) Patience, Taylor Patience. GG’s pride and joy were her twelve great grandchildren – Declan, Ty, Blake Johnstone; Brody, Olivia Djakovic; Lane, Madden Ford; Payton, Parker Ford; Skylar Ford; Emma, Ethan Patience.

Our Mother was an avid WHL Tiger hockey fan as well, a very proud “65” year member of the ladies auxiliary Fraternal Order of Eagles. She lived life to the fullest!

A special thank you to the caring and compassionate team at Carmel Hospice, St. Joseph’s Home. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Ruth, may do so with a donation to Carmel Hospice. A private family service will be held on Wednesday, May 26th, 2021.
