It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Lidja Rothacker of Medicine Hat on Friday, July 16th, 2021 at the age of 94 years. Lidja leaves to cherish her memory her three daughters, Emma (Gunther) Seifried, Ericka (Ron) Hensel, Edee (Ken) Gill; one son, Bob (Lori) Rothacker; as well as eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Lidja was predeceased by her husband, Otto in 2008. Lidja loved her family, family gatherings and loved to dance. In her later years her best companion was her dog Rufus. She will be dearly missed. The Funeral Service will be held at Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 1Z5, on Thursday, July 22nd, 2021 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Shane Hein officiating. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so one hour prior to service time. A private family interment will be held at Hillside Cemetery.
