1935 – 2021

Ken Wall passed away peacefully and went to his heavenly home on July 20th at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, Alberta. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley; daughter, Shelley (Brian); son, Kent (Loretta); grandchildren, Lindsey, Kelsey, Ashley (Zahin), Nate (Natalie) and Brittany; great-grandchildren, Trent, Brittany, Harrison; sisters, Marie, Betty (Paul) and Priscilla (Charles). Ken was predeceased by his parents, George and Elizabeth Wall and brothers, Lloyd and George Jr.

Ken was born on July 6, 1935, in Lizard Lake, SK. He married Shirley on September 7th, 1959. They moved to Saskatoon in 1972 and Ken worked for Co-op for 32 years. In 1985, they moved to Winnipeg where Ken and Shirley opened their own business, Scoop and Save. He retired in 2003 and moved to Alberta.

Ken was a faithful man who loved the Lord. He also had many talents – he loved to draw cartoons and paint landscapes. His favorite thing was to take his canoe out to a peaceful place and fish. Ken was known as a quiet and kind man, but also enjoyed his sharp wit and quirky humor. His children will forever remember the joyful days they spent camping as a family in Northern Saskatchewan and his grandkids will cherish all the rummy card games in which Granny always won, to Gumpy’s (Ken’s) chagrin.

Ken lived a life filled with love and will be greatly missed by his many friends and family.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 25th at 2:30pm at First Assembly of God, 395 9 St SE, Medicine Hat, AB with reception to follow. Condolences may be made at www.gracememorial.com. Arrangements are made by
