ROAN (nee WALKER)

It is with the deepest sorrow we announce the passing of Diane Roan (nee Walker) of Chestermere AB on July 26 at the age of 73. Diane died after a brief but courageous struggle with cancer at the P.L.C. in Calgary.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 48 years Wendal, and her children Kelley and Sean. Diane will also be missed by her Grandchildren, Taylor and Brooklyn. Sisters in Law, Gladys Roan, Linda Roan, brother-inlaw Ken Simaluk and her numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Diane was predeceased by her Parents Art, and Rose Walker. Siblings Marg Worts, Winnie Jackson, Jack Walker, and Marlene Simaluk.

Diane was known to all as a friendly, kind and generous person. Diane’s spirit will live on in her family and in those whose lives she touched. Diane had a great passion for gardening and we still get to enjoy the beautiful flowers and shrubs in her yard. Diane loved cycling with Wendal, camping in their R.V. with her grandchildren, and their winter trips to Mexico.

Memorial services to be held at Jesus Loves You Society on Saturday August 7th at 11:00 a.m. 240 15 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2R0P7. Reception will follow the service at which time friends and family are invited to gather in the lower level of the church for a time of fellowship and luncheon. Kids welcome. Comfort Casual.
