May 16, 1954 – August 13, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Michelle Carr announce her passing on August 13th, 2021, at the age of 67.

Michelle was born in Charlottetown, PEI, on May 16, 1954, the 5th child to Percy & Bibianne Macdonald.

Michelle moved to Calgary in 1972 to attend the University of Calgary. In 1973 she met Bob Carr and they were married in 1974 in Oyen, AB. Bob & Michelle were blessed with 4 children; Charles, Rosalind, Kristen and Douglas.

Over the next 47 years, Bob & Michelle lived in Oyen, Calgary, Fernie and Medicine Hat, making many close friends and fond memories.

Michelle was strong and unwavering in her faith during her life; she was a devoted wife, mom and grandma, and her greatest joy was to spend time with her family.

In her own words, Michelle “lived with cancer and braved it head on. I enjoyed each moment as best I could, with a smile on my face, appreciating and giving thanks daily for all of my blessings”.

Michelle leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband Bob; her children, Charles (Allison), Rosalind (Jay) and Douglas (Samantha); her grandchildren, Kristjan & Justice Scarff and Kenneth & Lowri Carr, along with many loving extended family members.

Michelle was predeceased by her mother and father, Bibianne & Percy Macdonald; her mother and father-in-law, Laura & Kenneth Carr; brother-in-law, Trevor Soroka; sister-in-law, Linda Day and her son Kristen.
