It is with heavy hearts that Dwaine’s family announce his departure on Friday, August 20th, 2021, just 8 days short of what would have been his 63rd Birthday. Dwaine was born on August 28th, 1958, in Maple Creek, Sask. to his loving parents, Millie and Bob Watson.

Dwaine is survived by his loving wife, Angela of Medicine Hat, AB; his father, Bob Watson of Maple Creek, SK; his son, Robbie (Jaylene) Watson of Medicine Hat, AB; daughter, Valeri (Sean) Watson of Lethbridge, AB; step-son, Kelly (Jamie) Dickinson of Taber, AB; step-daughters, Jacki (Jesse) Murphy of Medicine Hat, AB, and Candace Dickinson of Medicine Hat, AB; brothers, Glen (Wendy) Swift of Vancouver, BC; Warren (Nancy) Watson of Brooks, AB and life-long best friend, Darcy (Donna) Johnson of Robsart, SK; grandchildren Jarren, Vance, Audrey, Callie (Jayden), Haylee, Emma, Cody, Taylor, Kaidin, Shinesta, and Kolby; nieces, Jody (Dylan) McGuire of Vancouver BC and Jessica (Ryan) Gust of Calgary, AB and nephew Jeffrey (Laura) Watson of Prince George, BC as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Dwaine was predeceased by his brothers, Donnie and Jerry Swift; his mother, Millie Watson; and stepson Ryan Dickinson.

For those wishing to pay their respects, a visitation will be held at Grace Memorial, 1924 10 Ave NW, Medicine Hat, AB on Thursday, August 26th, 2021, from 2:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.

In honoring Dwaine’s final wishes, a graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 28 at 1:30 p.m. at the Robsart Cemetery. Coffee and a light lunch will follow at the Consul Community Hall; guests are invited to share their best memories of Dwaine.

Dwaine’s family would like to express their gratitude for the exemplary care that Dwaine received from the staff at the Medicine Hat Hospital and Masterpiece Living over the past 6 months, and most recently to the staff on Unit 4-West for their dignified care during Dwaine’s final days.
