It is with profound sadness that we, the family of Rachel Donna Thurlbeck, beloved wife of Edward, announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and friend. She passed away peace-fully at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Monday, August 23, 2021, at the age of 78 years. Rachel was born on November 22, 1942, in Moncton, NB. She married Ed on June 2, 1967, in Toronto and shared 54 wonderful years together. Along with her loving husband, Ed, Rachel’s memory will be treasured in the hearts of her family; son, Patrick (Monica) Thurlbeck of Martensville, SK.; daughter, Sandra Winchester (John LePage) as well as her grandchildren, Matthew Thurlbeck and Joshua and Kaitlyn Winchester. Rachel was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Audrey Mellish. In honour of Rachel’s wishes, her life will be silently remembered without the proceedings of a formal service.
