1935 ~ GLADYS GAETZ ~ 2021

Gladys Gaetz (Krauss) passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 25th, 2021 at the age of 86 years. Gladys was survived by her loving husband, Raymond of 67 years. Lovingly remembered by her children, Blaise Gaetz (Lee Caswell), Bernie (Darcy) Frey and their children, Jarett (Shelisa and Paxton) Frey, Jennalee (Matthew) Dykstra, Ray (Teresa) Gaetz and their children, Zachary (Madison), Tanner and Kiandra Gaetz. She was predeceased by her daughter, Hatty (2020); both parents, Edward (1965) and Elsie (2014) Krauss. Gladys was a devoted mother to her family and to the farm life. She had a wide range of crafting abilities and made the most unique and beautiful quilts for everyone. Baker extraordinaire; she made the best homemade bread, buns and straw hats that were enjoyed by her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. Gladys spent over 20 years volunteering at the Post where she made so many friends and coffee partners there. Her dedication to all those around her was unparalleled. She will be greatly missed by her family and her beloved dog, Brandy. The funeral service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB on Tuesday, August 31st, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at the funeral service 1 hour prior to service time (1:00 pm). A private interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
