August 1st, 1941 to August 27th, 2021

Carolyn Cora Unreiner of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of Bernhart “Ben” Unreiner, passed away on Friday, August 27th, 2021 at the age of 80 years. Carolyn was born in Medicine Hat and grew up in the Schuler area where she met and married Ben, her husband of 60 years. Together, Ben and Carolyn had two children, daughter, Kellie (Kevin) Rittinger and son, Timothy Unreiner who predeceased her in 2016. Mom’s true joy were her three grandchildren, Mandi (Tyson) Bartkow, Jordyn Wuerfel, Landon Wuerfel and her very precious great-granddaughter, Vienna Bartkow. Carolyn could be seen at Tim Hortons three times a day like clockwork. Carolyn and Ben were Tiger hockey fans and have held seasons tickets for 40 years. Mom absolutely loved traveling to Vegas. She would get off the plane and say, “I love the smell of this town.” When she won, we always had to go buy a new Brighton purse. Mom was both sweet and sassy, and we loved her that way. A private family time of remembrance will be held. Condolences may be sent through www.saamis.com or to condolences@saamis.com subject heading Carolyn Unreiner. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to
