1948 ~ LYNN CHURCH ~ 2021

Posted: September 20th, 2021

Lynn Church of Medicine Hat passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at the age of 72 years. Fantastic memories will continue to be shared as Lynn is lovingly remembered by his wife, Norma; children, Pamela (Brian) Edey, Kyle (Emery) Church; grandchildren, Everley, Oliver, Paxton and Tripp; brother, Rob (Sheila) Church, nephews, cousins and numerous friends. Lynn was predeceased by his parents, Bud and Mona Church and uncle, Ron Church. “Choppy” had deep roots in Medicine Hat and can be best remembered for his honest and loyal character. Many years in the sales industry allowed Lynn to develop lifelong friendships that he cherished greatly. He was always ready with useful advice when asked (or not) and was willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Choppy was passionate about his BBQ skills and everyone who had the chance to sample his grilling creations, never left hungry and always looked forward to the next culinary experiment. Outside of work, Lynn’s life revolved around his family and friends. Five years ago, Lynn planned a big family trip to his beloved Palm Springs, California, and was thrilled to share this time together along with our California friends. In his later years, his greatest joy was seeing and sharing the successes of his children and grandchildren. He lived each day at full speed, he laughed a lot and he loved with all of his heart. A private time of remembrance and celebration will be held at a later date. In lieu of gifts or flowers to the family, please donate to your charity of choice in Lynn’s name.
