1954 – LINDA KLAPP – 2021

Linda passed away peacefully in her home in Redcliff, AB on October 1, 2021, at the age of 67 years. Linda was born in McCreary, MB on September 2, 1954. She was the third child of Allan and Jean Dunn. She spent most of her childhood on her family’s farm in Alonsa, MB. As a young girl, Linda enjoyed looking after animals and playing sports. These hobbies grew into passions she carried with her throughout her life. On December 16, 1972, Linda married Burton (Burt) Klapp in Kitimat, B.C. They were blessed with 48 years of marriage and two children. On June 26, 1978, Burt and Linda welcomed their first child, Amanda, in Brandon, MB. Later that year, they moved west to Elkford, B.C. Their second child, Scott, was born on December 26, 1980, making their family complete. Linda treasured her time in Elkford with her family and friends. Upon her retirement, Linda and Burt moved to Redcliff, AB to be close to her sister, and best friend, Dale Ross. Relationships meant the world to her. To be a friend of Linda’s was to be a friend for life. Linda will forever be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband, Burt; her children, Amanda and Scott; her siblings, Dale (Wayne) Ross, Ken (Janice) Dunn, Robin (Le’Raine) Dunn, and Brian Dunn (Tim Grandfield); her brothers-in-law, Jack (Bernice), Larry (Donna) and Grant (Mary); her sister-in-law, Nancy (Pat) Morden; her many beloved nieces and nephews; as well as several special cousins and friends. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Allan and Jean Dunn; her in-laws, Jack and Ellie Klapp; and her sister-in-law, Beth Klapp. The memorial service will take place at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB on Thursday, October 7th, 2021 at 1:00 pm with Reverend Lynn MacKinnon officiating. Due to current provincial Covid-19 restrictions, attendance will be limited to a maximum of 50 persons. Family and friends are welcome to participate via livestream by logging on to www.saamis.com and joining the live webcast on Linda’s memorial page at the above date and time.
