Mary’s memory will forever be cherished by her family; daughter, Shirley Lapp (Rod Turnbull) and son, Dale (Michelle) Rembowski; grandchildren, Suzan Lapp (Mike Piazza), Shane Lapp, Carisa (Jordan) Wilson, Chayse (Kristina) Rembowski; great-grandchild; Walker Wilson; Michelle’s children, Michael, Mackenzie (Karissa), Morgan and Matt as well as numerous sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Along with her husband of 62 years, Frank, Mary was predeceased by her parents, Jennie and Andrew Chebuk; sisters, Ann and Katie as well as her brothers, Bill, Mike, George and John. Mary was born in Wasel, AB., on March 26, 1928. She met Frank at her uncles logging camp and they were married on June 23, 1951, in Edmonton. They lived in many places throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan, settling down in Medicine Hat in 1959. Mary worked at Eaton’s as well as in the restaurant they owned.  In 1971, they moved to the country where Mary enjoyed her cows, goats, sheep and gardening. This gave her grandchildren many cherished memories and opportunities to learn about farm life. Mary was a member of the Medicine Hat Oil Wives and was a long-time member of the Ladies Eagles, where she traveled to many different locations; the furthest being Buffalo, New York with her daughter. Mary was known for her love of cards, bingo, sense of humour as well as her Ukrainian dishes. She will be remembered by all for her beautiful smile. The family would like to recognize and thank the staff at River Ridge on the Expressions Wing for taking such good care of Mary for the last couple of years, great job.
