Donald J. Megyesi passed away peacefully at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at the age of 78 years. He is survived by his sister, Brenda (Mick) Webb and niece, Jennifer Webb. Don was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Lillian Megyesi and a twin brother in infancy. Don was confined to a wheelchair for the greater part of his life but he never complained, just adjusted and carried on. He was an inspiration to all as he was brave, thoughtful, kind, loving and had a wonderful sense of humour. Don’s faith was strong and helped him cope with some of life’s difficult moments. He will be missed but it is comforting to know he is finally free of earthly constraints and resides in Heaven with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Special thanks to the staff at River Ridge for their compassionate care over the years. Don will be silently remembered by his family and friends without the proceedings of a formal funeral service.
