LINDA MARGO LAING

Posted: October 26th, 2021

January 4, 1950 – October 24, 2021

Lin was born during a snowstorm in a farm house outside Horsham, SK., and shortly thereafter, the family moved to Tilley. She loved telling childhood stories of playing hockey and swimming at the canal. Later on, the family moved to Medicine Hat where Lin met and married her husband of 53 years. The couple raised their family in Redcliff where she took pride in gardening, baking, sewing, endless renovating and raising her daughters. When the glass factory shut down, she and Bob moved to Vernon, BC. Lin loved living in the mountains, but moved back to the Hat a few years later to be with family. She was an excellent seamstress, and amongst all personal projects for family and friends, she singlehandedly made dozens of curtains for the rooms at the Medicine Hat Lodge. Her joy was being a Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma.
